We have just run our first pilot EPTC Course – drawing from a wider variety of backgrounds including fire, police, doctors, nurses and paramedics. The course was evaluated over the two day period and modifications made to the syllabus and the running of the course to facilitate the student development faculty’s needs.
The student development faculty team identified a number of requirements that a student may look for on this particular type of course. These changes were implemented and produced a positive outcome. The next part of the course is due to be evaluated in January 2018 and hopes to go live March 2018. The course will be approved by Skills For Justice and Royal College of Surgeons (England) along with the Emergency Services Training College.
