Portable Fire Extinguisher Training

Portable fire extinguisher training is essential in the workplace for two main reasons. Firstly, it equips employees with the skills to effectively tackle small fires, preventing them from escalating and causing significant damage. Training ensures that individuals know which type of extinguisher to use for different fire scenarios.

Secondly, fire extinguisher training fosters a proactive safety culture within the workplace. By educating employees on fire safety protocols and extinguisher usage, organisations promote a sense of responsibility and preparedness. This contributes to a safer working environment, reducing the risk of injuries and fatalities in the event of a fire. Overall, portable fire extinguisher training is a vital aspect of workplace safety, empowering employees to act swiftly and effectively in case of a fire emergency.

The course is designed to be run over a 1/2 Day duration.

For companies looking to enhance their responsible person’s skillset and confidence with portable fire extinguisher training, Emergency Service Training Centre (ESTC) can deliver a dedicated program designed to educate all staff on best practice and help employers fulfil their own legal responsibilities to the rest of their workforce.

Training will be delivered in both the classroom environment for the theory and also in a realistic scenario-based environment, both indoor and outside. This will give the student the experience that is required when using the different extinguishers in a first aid fire-fighting situation. (this will involve some PPE for training and will be issued by ESTC)
