Our IMCA Accredited DMT Refresher Course is designed to update the knowledge and skills of individuals who have previously completed the DMT Full Course and whose certificate has expired or is about to expire.

The course is accredited by the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and comprises 5 days of training with a total of 35 contact hours in the classroom, as well as practical-based scenarios.

Course Eligibility

To qualify for an IMCA DMT (Diver Medical Technician) qualification, applicants must:

Hold an offshore qualification in diving. This can be an LST, diving supervisor or commercial diving qualification recognised by IMCA (Offshore grade) or the Health and Safety Executive.

Candidates attending the course must ensure they are fit and healthy and free of any existing injuries. The course can be quite arduous and is mentally and physically demanding.

· Intraosseous Infusion

· Use of Defibrillator

· Oxygen Administration

· Catheterisation

· Managing Decompression illness

· Drugs and Pharmacology

· Suturing

· Use of DMAC equipment

Learning Outcomes for the  IMCA Accredited DMT Refresher Course

A qualified DMT (Diver Medical Technician) should be :

· Capable of administering advanced first aid and emergency treatment.

· Efficient in carrying out the directions of a doctor in a diving environment.

The DMT Refresher course costs £690 including VAT, meals and refreshments.

Walking out of a classroom into a diving support vessel with a saturation diving spread, diving bells for CPR training and a Medical Centre will provide our divers with the best simulation possible.
